The University Of Northampton are looking for a data entry assistant to support the existing team.

The main purpose of the role will be assisting with the processing and delivery of Tuition Fee invoices ensuring that student accounts on U4BW are updated with accurate information.

As well as assisting with the accurate and timely analysis and recording of all University income collection and performing subsequent account reconciliations on U4BW system for the income received. Proactively seek resolution of reconciliation issues.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting with the creation of Tuition Fee invoices and ensuring accurate delivery of the invoices to the students and maintaining accurate financial information in U4BW.
- Assisting with the Financial reconciliation and input into U4BW of daily receipts to the sales ledger from all the University income streams, ensuring accuracy of payment matching and the customer accounts and proactively resolving reconciliation issues.
- Updating and maintaining various spreadsheets to support the Income Assistants.
- Ensuring the University income team remains compliant with PCI DSS standard operating rules, advises other departments on rules and regulations to ensure card data security standards are maintained.
- Undertake a range of clerical duties, including filing, and any other tasks commensurate to the post

**Responsibilities**:

- The post holder will be expected to undertake other responsibilities and tasks as reasonably requested by the Income Manager, Head of Income and the Finance Management team.
- The post holder will be responsible and accountable for ensuring all employment legislative requirements are adhered to including equality and diversity and health and safety.

**Skills and experience**
GCSE’s or equivalent in Maths and English

Basic Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills

Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to interpret structured information and request further required information to complete invoicing tasks

Previous relevant experience in a sales ledger or banking environment

Able to work on own initiative, or as instructed by the supervisor and as part of a team

The ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines

Comfortable with, and capable of, processing high volumes of data entry
Flexible attitude and a willingness to support other team members at busy periods

Ability to adapt to organisational change

Ability to adapt to technological advances in the workplace
