Stonegate Farmers are seeking Packaging Operatives to join our team to supply our Production Team's with packaging for egg products for large retail and food service customers within a busy factory environment.

Established in 1926 and under new ownership since 2016, we have grown into one the largest free-range and organic egg producers within the UK.

Moving millions of mother nature’s most fragile food items every day takes finesse and know how. We work closely with our producers to collect, grade and package each individual egg. So many fresh eggs requires fresh thinking therefore we only employ the most enthusiastic people for our operations, who have hearts of gold - just like our eggs

We deliver daily from hen houses right across the country to the most exclusive restaurants and to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets, together with first class egg products to some of the biggest names in food manufacturing.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Unloading lorries from suppliers and recording traceability. Putting away deliveries in designated areas.
- Loading lorries for despatch. General housekeeping and organising the warehouse, ensuring department is audit ready at all times.
- To be a multi-functional team member and support the Team Manager and Supervisor with any duties required.
- Follow lean thinking principles and make suggestions for improvement so that better ways of doing jobs are identified and implemented.
- Have a shared responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the BRC global Standard for Food.
- Keep working area clean and tidy at all times so hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained.
- To carry out other duties ’site wide’ that may reasonably be requested to ensure the

**Qualifications / Experience**:

- Previous **Warehouse Experience is essential **for this role.
- Previous use of MHE, in particular Electric Pump Trucks, is advantageous
- Previous experience within production desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.

Pay: £11.70 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.25 per week
