**About the role**:
This is an exciting opportunity for a cargo superintendent to join an enthusiastic team delivering cargo monitoring services to clients at ports around the UK with the UK’s number one testing, inspection and compliance company.

Client focused and quality driven, we are a leading provider of monitoring services. Now we need a Cargo Superintendent in our Humber team to undertake supervision of loading and discharge of cargo ships with an emphasis on product quality, auditing of storagefacilities and inspection of port discharge systems.

**You will**:
Your responsibilities and tasks will include:

- Inspect, assess and report upon cleanliness and suitability of cargo discharging equipment, quayside areas, storage premises and transport vehicles.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of information relevant to the cargo quality and discharge operations.
- Reports directly to clients, both written and verbally.
- Record and report on cargo condition, quality and contamination.
- Take readings / measurements to allow draught survey calculations to be carried out.
- Take samples throughout the discharge in accordance with set standards and procedures, with analysis and reporting of results.

**About you**:
We are looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Organised, flexible and committed, you must also have:

- Good numeracy skills.
- Excellent communication skills including written and verbal.
- High level of attention to detail
- Full driving licence
