**Position Summary**

As an Electrical Test Engineer you will be required to test various units, systems and subassemblies, either new build or customer units returned for repair. You will be required to test according to the relevant specifications to determine cause of unit failure, using electronic test instruments. To interpret test schedules, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to enable testing to the required quality standards using safe working practices.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure the Company policy on Health and Safety is reflected in all actions
- To ensure correct completion of route card operations/history sheet documentation in line with company procedures
- Quality of work - Both physical and in written documentation
- To maintain clean, safe working areas and practices
- To be pro-active and to actively seek ways to continually improve processes
- To have a positive and flexible attitude within the team
- To perform duties as required by the business, and in line with the employee skills matrix which includes paint, polycoat, flow solder, and all other processes used within the business for manufacture of the product

**Skills & Requirements**
- **ONC/OND in Engineering, or FULLY indentured in an Apprentices in Electrical/Mechanical testing and fault finding or NVQ Electro Technical Level 4**:

- To be competent in the use of test equipment
- To ensure correct completion of route card operations/test result documentation in line with company procedures
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret electrical and electronic drawings and specifications
- Ability to write clearly and precisely
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good questioning and listening ability to acquire to right information
- To be adaptable and flexible
- To have a positive attitude

**Experience**
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Experience in testing of Electrical and Electronic assemblies preferably in aviation or MoD work
- To be able to diagnose a fault on an electronic assembly and advise corrective action
- To be able to test/fault find to board/component level
- An understanding of both analogue and digital circuitry preferred
