Great Prison Custody Officers (PCOs) are the backbone to our business and play a vital role in the smooth operation of our prison. Every PCO will play a key part in our resident's lives. This may be supporting them with their rehabilitation journey, educationor work program. It could be providing an ear to listen to them during difficult times or offering support during their stay in prison, as well as creating a positive and safe environment.
Background and previous working experience is not important, it's the kind of person you are that matters. We can teach you the rest during training.

Flexibility is vital with this role as your 40 hour working week will be split into shifts to include morning, afternoon, evening and overnight shifts. You must also be available to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
This is a full time permanent position offering the following salary:
**Starting Salary £26,750 per annum**
**After 1 years service and successful probation rising to £27,250 per annum**
**After 2 years service £28,750 per annum**
**After 4 years service £29,750 per annum
