Responsibilities:
Supervision and guidance of large numbers of staff working in production area

Report any breakdowns or malfunctions on any machines on the units to Shift Manager/Production Manager and Engineers

Ensure H&S guidelines are always followed and to report any deficiencies immediately

To make quality checks on operators and work being processed on units

Liaise with Supervisors to get correct work needed for delivery to customers

Working with Shift Manager to maximise efficient use of staff and machinery resources to meet workload

Working with Supervisors/Shift Manager to ensure all staff are trained correctly to carry out tasks and to use machinery in line with safe systems of work and risk assessments

To be able to display the ability to recognise the quality of linen/garments etc.

To ensure correct timekeeping/breaks/attendance of staff

To ensure sections are ready to commence at start of shift and are left clean and tidy at end of shift

To ensure all paperwork (rewash/rags/downtimes and production figures) checked and dealt with following work procedures

Identify training and development needs for team and action accordingly

Investigate complaints and instigate corrective action

To constantly review operational methods to improve systems in liaison with Shift Manager/Production Manager

To attend any training courses

Ensure staff aware of targets and meet

Ensure operators are all trained correctly to carry out tasks

Other ad hoc duties as required

**Experience**:
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or food production environment
Proficient in basic math skills for inventory management and production calculations
Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team
