Sourdough Baker

Blanchflower’s bakery has a rare opportunity for a sourdough baker to join the team at our amazing brand new bakery space above our cafe in Sale.

We are looking to pay a salary of around 25-27k pa depending on experience. Hours are capped at 45pw and overtime is paid above this. Tips are paid to bakers from income from the cafes and this will add a healthy chunk to your basic pay.

You will need to have a love for bread and baking it. Be a good team player and have at least 1 year's relevant experience.

We make & bake sourdough and other breads, all our viennoiserie, a wide range of cakes, biscuits, pastry for sweet & savoury tarts, doughnuts and other delights that take our fancy.

We have a varied production menu every week, so our work is mixed and creative and you will specialise in baking our bread daily but also make cakes and some pastry.

We don’t wholesale so no crazy early starts.

Chefs who have worked with pastry and bread and enjoyed it are also strongly invited to apply.

Our kitchen team and in-house bakery work side by side to elevate daytime cooking to unusually ambitious standards. We serve breakfast and lunch on weekdays and brunch all day at weekends.
