We are seeking a number of qualified and experienced support workers to build a highly specialist team to support a single gentleman in his own home.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- To **act in accordance with the Code of Conduct **at all times
- To ensure the **care, safety & supervision **of people being supported by Always Inclusive.
- **Proactively act to meet the individual needs **of people supported by the Always inclusive.
- Develop **effective working relationships and communication** with services users, colleagues, supervisors and other stakeholders.
- **Identify, report and minimise risks** to people

(e.g. risks to people being supported, to yourself, to colleagues and members of the public)
- Ensure the home is **safe, clean, tidy and well-maintained** inside and out and that resources under your control are safe, well cared for and fit-for-purpose.
- Ensure you **keep timely and factual records. **Including digital reports, logs and records, which support the company’s legal, reporting, quality and audit assurance obligations.
- Cooperate with the **development & implementation** of:

- Always Inclusive’s internal policies & procedures.
- Individual strategies, approaches and care plans that aim to safely and effectively meet people’s needs.
- Plans, structures and routines agreed by the Registered Manager to ensure the safe and effective running of the home.
- Assist the Register Manager in ensuring the home complies **with statutory requirements and regulatory standards**.
- Respect the fact that the role will involve access to privileged information about the needs of vulnerable individuals, their families and representatives and that there is a need to respect and maintain **confidentiality**.
- Ensure that you maintain **professionalism and personal integrity **at all times.
- Ensure you are aware of, and adhere to Always Inclusive and local authority **safeguarding **standards, practices, policies and procedures.
- Ensure you are aware of, and adhere to **Fire and Health & Safety **regulations and fire evacuation procedures.
- Ensure that you attend **team meetings **regularly so you are aware of current needs, changes, team strategies.
- Ensure that you attend **training** to ensure you remain suitably trained, competent, confident. Enabling you to remain aligned with current best practice and capable of fulfilling your delegated responsibilities to required standards.
- Be prepared to **work flexibly**. As part of a team providing 24/7 support, this role involves undertaking a share of rostered evening, weekends, waking nights and bank holidays.
- To consistently and appropriately use identified **specialist communication methods and visual strategies** in line with service users care plans.
- To ensure **sensory strategies** are consistently used and promoted in line with service user care plans.
- To consistently employ a **Total Communication** approach when interacting with service users, include the use of gestural and signing communication.
- Be willing to fulfil and carry our other tasks or activities not specifically covered by this job description. **Employment conditions can sometimes be unpredictable**. Working with people, particularly those with complex needs, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour, can create circumstances that require team members to adapt and respond. Those best suited to this kind of work will be those who can adapt quickly, be flexible and build a level of resilience in the face of such challenges.

**Salary**: £11.00-£18.00 per hour

Day range:

- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday

Shift:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
