Vision Logistical Solutions Ltd is a specialist logistics service provider, operating in sectors of commerce and industry where out of the ordinary solutions are required.

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative within our Sittingbourne depot due to business growth on a temp to perm basis, this will be on a zero hour contract for the first few weeks moving onto a permanent contract if you are suitable. Hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. **For the first 6 - 8 weeks the shifts required will be 14:00 to 22:00.** After this period the hours will be Monday - Friday scheduled between the operational hours of 6am and 6pm.

As a Warehouse Operative you would support the Logistics Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse on a day-to-day basis.

Your duties would include picking and packing, completing stock checks, product refurbishment, assisting with deliveries and stock transfers.

You would need to comply with Health and Safety regulations and ensure the warehouse is kept tidy and clean at all times. An FLT licence would be beneficial.

**Key activities**:

- Take delivery of goods and supplies
- Check for damaged or missing items
- Store goods appropriately
- Pick and pack orders for dispatch
- Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck
- Load goods for dispatch
- Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards
- Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerised system
- Keep accurate stock records
- Carry out stock counts as and when required
- Keep paperwork up to date
- Ensure that all lifting and maneuvering of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
- Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others
- Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner
- Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency
- Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value
- Ensure that items are properly stacked and secured inside the delivery vehicle

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £25,064.00 per year
