Paul J Watson is an award winning firm which focuses on serving and engaging with the local community. We provide high quality legal advice to a variety of clients in the areas of Family Law and Criminal Defence, including both legally aided and privately paid work.

We are looking to recruit a hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic person. You must have a can-do attitude and excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be the first point of contact for the firm, both over the telephone and in person.

This is a permanent full time post for 35 hours 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. Salary dependent on experience. The office closes for lunch 12.30am to 1.30pm each day.

Experience in a similar role within a law firm would be sought after but not essential.

You should be a caring individual who is able to empathise with our clients and to ensure that they are looked after when attending the office. Likewise you will assist the Legal Secretaries and fee earning staff at key points and ensure that their needs are also met, enabling them to continue focussing on their own workload.

You must be able to work on your own and use your own initiative, although training will be provided on the firm's policies, procedures and systems. The ability to multitask and to follow instructions carefully and correctly is essential in this demanding environment.
Your main responsibilities will include:

- Directing telephone and personal enquiries from clients
- Dealing with inbound and outbound mail
- Maintaining client records
- Carrying out a full range of general office duties including photocopying, scanning, stationery control & provisioning
- Meeting and greeting clients and other visitors to the firm
- Providing refreshments
- Making hand deliveries
- Archiving and retrieving information and files
- Typing where needed for Fee Earners
- Other ad hoc duties as they arise.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a helpful and friendly manner.
- Highly personable and confident, able to build relationships with fee-earners and staff at all levels and clients.
- Enthusiastic, resilient and calm under pressure.
- Absolute attention to maintaining client and firm confidentiality at all times.

**Salary**: £14,500.00-£21,000.00 per year
