**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
JDR Cable Systems are seeking a Shift Leader to join our dynamic team at our Littleport manufacturing facility, working on the day shift. As a Shift Leader, you will oversee the production process based around the renewable and oil and gas sectors for making power cables and hydraulic umbilicals. Your main objective will be to lead and motivate a team of production workers to efficiently and effectively produce high-quality products and ensure that production targets are met.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the production shift, including scheduling, organizing, and supervising the activities of the production team. This will involve monitoring production processes, identifying inefficiencies or issues, and implementing solutions to improve productivity. You will also ensure that all production equipment is properly maintained and all safety protocols are followed.
As the Shift Leader, you will play a critical role in maintaining quality control standards. You will conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure that production processes comply with company standards and industry regulations. Also, you will be responsible for training and developing your team, making sure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. You should be a driven and experienced leader with a strong background in production and operations.
Safety and quality are paramount, so as the you will comply with the company’s Health and Safety Policy paying particular concern for personal safety and the safety of others. The ability to communicate effectively is a must as you will be responsible for attending to and reporting on any accident that occurs on the shift.
A ‘can do’ attitude with excellent time and attendance is required to ensure the effective running of the department; with a passion to deliver to a high standard and work to procedure in order to ensure the quality of product.
