Reporting directly to the NPD Manger, this will be an exciting hands-on role where you will be involved in both the office and kitchen.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Creation of initial and full technical specifications.
- Creation of artwork for labelling to legislative, company and customer standards.
- Working within a team and independently to ensure food safety, quality and legislative compliance.
- Maintaining Internal specifications and associated documents to ensure correct planning and production of products.
- Supporting the company and department during day-to-day operations.
- Liaising with the team on technical matters.
- Signing off ingredient and product specs with the Suppliers.
- Complete product information sheets for all products as required.
- Signing off ingredient and product specs with the Suppliers.
- Ensure any on-pack claims are backed up and actively participate to agreed titles, subtitles and any special “on-pack” claims.
- Proofread and approve artwork in line with legal and customer codes of practice.
- Daily use and upkeep of the new NPD system, ensuring the ingredient/ product information is accurate, up-to-date, compliant and consistent across different ingredients and suppliers.

**What we are looking for**:

- Understanding of UK/EU food legislation and the desire to become an expert
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills in a fast-moving dynamic environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good teamworking abilities
- The ability to work independently
- Meticulous attention to detail, especially with regards to food hygiene and safety
- Experience in developing and launching new products with retail and food service customers
- Experience of working within product development in an FMCG environment
- Managing critical paths and coordinating internal departments to ensure successful product launches
- Computer literate
- Full UK Driving Licence
