**Job Profile**:
Toolmaker required to join a well-established precision engineering company that is based in the St Neots area. They specialise in Chemical etching and laser cutting, and due to continuous succession they are looking for a Toolmaker to join them and be responsible for setting and forming tight tolerance small metal components on manual toggle and fly presses.
Toolmaker Position Requirements
- Ability to handle small and sometimes highly fragile components/products with care as most of our components are small in size
- Highly attentive to detail and can carry out close inspection of
- components/products for various faults/flaws
- The ability to problem solve with a can do attitude
- Able to follow detailed work instructions and protocols precisely
- Good basic computer skills to ensure that all records and data are completed accurately
- Must work well as part of a team
- To contribute to the continuous improvement of work processes, and working environment
- Experience of setting and forming tight tolerance small metal components on manual toggle and fly presses.
- Be a competent manual machinist and possess the ability to design and quote tooling from a component drawing.
- Experience of working in a fine detail manufacturing industry and leading teams in a production environment.
- Good communication skills and a flexible approach to planning are essential
- Must live within a commutable distance of the St Neots area.
- Any press brake experience would be advantageous.
Toolmaker Position Remuneration
- Full time permanent position
- Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 17:00 (Friday finish at 13:00) 39 hour week
- Salary £30,000 - £40,000 DOE
- Quarterly bonus after qualifying period
