**Job Title**: HGV Technician

**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent

**Location**: Wigan

**Salary**: £31,000 - £40,000

**Responsibilities**:

- Service, repair and maintain HGVs, vans and trucks to the highest standard
- Diagnose and rectify faults in vehicles, equipment and systems
- Carry out pre-MOT inspections and prepare vehicles for annual tests
- Work effectively as part of a team, but also independently when required
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations at all times
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all work carried out

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, with a strong background in servicing, repairing and maintaining HGVs, trucks and vans
- Relevant qualifications, such as a City & Guilds or NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible with working hours, including nights and shifts
