Technical Support Engineer

Are you looking for a Technical Support Engineer job based in London?
My client is a leading home energy company based in London, developing clean energy power supplies for their customers through generating onsite solar power, having developed an innovative way of storing the energy. They are currently looking to developtheir business prior to receiving large government funding, meaning the present is an excellent time to join this growing organisation.
The Technical Support Engineer job will require you to:
- Become an expert in both hardware and software aspects of ongoing clean energy power supply projects
- Troubleshooting technical issues on devices installed in the field by logging in remotely, analysing data and computer processes, and maintaining the software
- Implementing solutions and updates, and supporting the technical team
- Providing telephone support to installers, customers and the customer service teams
- A good understanding of electrical systems and electronics
- Experience with programming, in particular in a Linux, Python and/or UNIX environment on PC, Mac, Raspberry PI etc. Ansible, bash scripting and docker desired
- A passion for environmental issues and/or energy systems will be seen as a bonus, but not required
