We are currently looking for a Facilities Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Southall

You will be supporting non-core electrical engineering and facilities services on site. Maintaining electrical safety, integrity and compliance of site-based facilities plant, equipment and infrastructure to current regulations.

**Facilities Maintenance Electrician Duties**:

- Routinely inspecting electrical system on plant, equipment and site infrastructure
- Installation, maintenance, servicing and fault finding on a wide range of electrical systems, facilities equipment and infrastructure installations across the site
- Undertaking planned maintenance and repairs on equipment as required
- Liaise with contractors in the electrical maintenance of specialist systems
- To work in conjunction with all other facilities trades on the site, as and when required
- To provide an integral response to any emergency incidents and to assist appropriately based on the situation arising
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as required, including assistance on other facilities related works, projects, special events, etc.
- Drive continuous improvement and proactive electrical working across the sites
- Adhering to safety, compliance and performance standards as required by law, site and current legislation.
- Ensure through service and maintenance electrical systems on site are safe and compliant to current regulation / legislation
- To carry out duties in a manner which promotes a safe working environment
- To report any safety occurrence or system failure and to identify and report any situation of potential risk or concern affecting safety of which they are aware
- Effectively communicate problems and solutions to resolve electrical problems
- Ability to read/interpret electrical drawings and manuals to install, calibrate and maintain electrical equipment
- Ability to use electrical/electronic testing equipment to such as multi-meters, ammeters, etc. to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Use hand and power tools related to the electrical trades
- Use computerised maintenance system (CMMS) to enter and retrieve maintenance activities, information and technical data
- Continuous review and improvement of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) practices, content and frequency
- Assist in establishing and maintaining scheduled maintenance programs for plant and equipment.
- Ensure root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques are carried out to maximise the efficiency and safety of the depots
- To be available for on-call duty and attend site as necessary when called out, forming part of the company’s escalation process for the client
- To cover other members of the team during holidays and periods of absence
- Effectively communicate with Client and own Team at all levels
- Contribute to minor project works as required
- Support and / or supervise appointed specialist Subcontractors and outsourced Service Providers.

**Facilities Maintenance Electrician Requirements**:

- **Electrical Qualifications - Installation competence**:C&G 2330/2351/2355 **or** C&G 236 Parts A&B **or** C&G 2360 Parts 1&2 **or** C&G 2365 Level 2&3 or 2356 NVQ with a recognised Apprenticeship **With** Certificate for the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: 2008 (2382- 12, 15 or 20); for **17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Electrical Inspection and Testing**:C&G 2391-10 **or** C&G 2394/2395
- Track record of maintenance role in a technical capacity, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Understanding and working knowledge of computers, software packages.
- Understanding and working knowledge of maintenance regimes, record keeping, auditing requirements, Lock Out Tag Out.
- Good working knowledge of Health Safety and Environmental responsibilities
- Ability to identify, cost, quote and pull through additional Minor Works
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work flexibly
- Good general computer skills
- Ability to work to targets and deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
- Ability to think on your feet and act decisively
- Problem solving capabilities and ability to grasp concepts easily
- Ability to work in a logical and systematic manner
- Competence and experience of facilities and utilities services - i.e. compressed air, refrigeration, cooling towers, HVAC, Water Services, Waste Management, Electrical Services, etc
- Awareness of Health and Safety requirements / Permit to Work (PTW) procedures
- Able to liaise with Customer Stakeholders, Account Management and to manage the adi FM site Service Teams autonomously.

- **H&S qualifications**:IOSH Working (**or** Supervising) Safely **or** Contractor Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS Card) **or** equivalent/higher.
- Mechanical engineering competence and experience
- Legionella L8 awareness training
- Asbestos awareness training
- Experience of food manufacturing.
- Ability to suggest and provide feasibility reports on improvement initiatives and plans
- Experience of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook
