Commercial Designer

**PURPOSE OF ROLE**: To create a broad range of artwork for our commercial clients, covering all forms of advertisement design across multiple platforms, including digital-magazine, web, social etc.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN DUTIES**:
- Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, from production to sales colleagues, to design effective adverts and commercial-campaigns that fulfill brief and represent the clients business and products.
- Follow and help to develop company templates, processes and production procedures to ensure efficient workflows and timely delivery.
- Work effectively with production managers and sales teams to iterate designs and make corrections based on stakeholder feedback.
- Prepare commercial assets ready for the destined platform, following processes and systems to ensure exacting attention-to-detail and meeting deadline.
- Upload the commercial assets to relevant platforms.
- Become the brand-guardian for BizClik, while fully understanding the branding of the clients you are designing for.
**OTHER**:
- Demonstrate a professional approach at all times when representing the company, either verbally or written.
- Maintain the company’s policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and Data Protection.
- Adhere to the company’s dress code & working hours.
- Be aware of and have a duty to comply with the company’s Health & Safety rules and procedures. Bring to the attention of Line Manager any health and safety issues.
- Attend Design Department & Sector meetings as required
- Be prepared to “go the extra mile” to succeed
- Evaluate own performance and identify training needs.

**Qualifications**
GCSE or higher in Maths and English.
BTEC / Foundation or higher in a related design study.
Bachelors degree in graphic/design related field
Relevant design awards or certificates.
**Experience**
- Minimum 2 years experience in a commercial design environment with practical work experience.
- Able to demonstrate technical knowledge and understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite and office-based software
- Ability to demonstrate effective understanding of ‘what makes a good advert’
- Experience in customer care/client facing situations and project management an advantage.
- Digital publishing or similar industry experience
- Animation skills

- Good interpersonal skills.
- Confidence to articulate issues to various team members and staff.
- Good organisational skills.
**Personal**
- Work effectively as a team player and independently.
- Ability to manage and prioritise jobs.
- Be accommodating and flexible towards the workload when required.
- Be presentable and smartly dressed at all times.
