An exciting opportunity for a Service Desk Manager to work for a Managed Service Provider (MSP), managing a team of 10 1st and 2nd line support engineers.

We are looking for some one who is passionate about solving IT support issues as well as managing and motivating a team. You enjoy the satisfaction that comes from delivering good support and service to users.

You will have worked your way up in IT and have experience managing individuals within an MSP environment.

You will be a good problem solver who thrives on challenges and have a solid understanding of modern business IT systems.

With a strong background in technology, you will be able to troubleshoot problems for clients whilst being able to manage the service desk and tickets that come in. You don’t mind getting your hands dirty and juggle tickets and phone calls, managing colleaguesand prioritise tickets.

You’ll be joining at an exciting time as you will be instrumental in helping my client grow. They are looking for an ambitious individual who comes up with ideas to improve the business.

**Essential requirements**
- Excellent customer service skills - in person and over the phone
- Experience in managing or supervising a technical support team or function
- Experienced Service desk / help desk management experience
- Experience working for a managed service provider
- Excellent problem solving skills with a proactive attitude
- Organisational and time management skills - multitasking is a must
- Good attention to detail and a desire to take initiative
- Experience using ticketing systems (we currently use Auto Task however open to change)
- Excellent understanding and experience within modern IT platforms, Enterprise IT systems and networking (experience with as many of these would be ideal; Office 365, Azure, Hyper-V, Windows Server 201619, SQL, Exchange etc)
