**About Our Client**:
Our client is a reputable player in the industrial / manufacturing sector, boasting a team of over 500 employees. Known for their high-quality products, they maintain a strong presence across the UK, particularly within the Chester region. They thrive in a friendly dynamic culture where they multi-train their staff to aid development and support.
The successful Finance Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Managing the purchase ledger inbox, allocating work streams.
- Maintaining accounting records, processing invoices, and ensuring prompt payment.
- Conducting regular ledger reconciliations.
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
- Working closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Providing leadership and training to team members.
- Wider finance support such as balance sheet preparation
- VAT & expense claims
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements within the purchase ledger department and beyond
**The Successful Applicant**:
A successful Finance Supervisor should have:
- A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field.
- Experience in a Purchase Ledger role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- The confidence to lead from the front and manage work loads
- Excellent leadership skills with an approachable attitude
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
