**Paediatric Day Surgery Staff Nurse**

**Location : **The Portland Hospital for Women & Children, London

**Hours: **Permanent 37.5pw ( Mon Sat flexibility to work 7am-10pm)

The Paediatric day surgery team are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and versatile Band 5 Paediatric Staff Nurse to come and join their team.

The applicant must have an interest in paediatric day surgery and have good communication skills. You will need to be flexible and able to contribute to the delivery of high standard family-centred care. We will provide support and encouragement to enableyou to develop and achieve your full potential.

Our unit consists of a small friendly team. We work closely together to ensure the patient and their families experience is of a high-standard throughout day surgery. We currently offer a variety of surgical procedures for children and young people, Mondayto Saturday, excluding bank holidays. All shifts are 11.5 hours and you will be required to work a mixture of early and late shifts.

Early 07:00am - 19:45pm

Late09:15am - 22:00pm

**Skills & Experience**:
- NMC Child Registered Nurse with basic paediatric life support.
- Understanding of Safeguarding issues and clinical governance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within a team and independently.
- Previous experience of Surgical, theatre or recovery nursing desirable
