East Wold C of E Primary School, Legbourne are looking for two 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support a year 2 child with diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Disorder.

These posts are for 16.25 hpw; 39 weeks per year (term time).

**1:1 Teaching Assistant (2 posts)**
G3 (Point 6 - 9) £20,812 - £21,967 pro rata - Actual annual salary £8,861—£9,352pa
16.25 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year (temporary contract for as long as child remains on roll)

Post One to cover from 9:00 am to 12.15 pm,

Post Two to cover from 12.15 pm to 3.30 pm.
- have experience of Autistic Spectrum Disorder
- have experience of Attention Deficit Disorder.
- work under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo
- modify work to suit the child’s needs and encourage active participation in all learning
- provide lots of opportunities for brain breaks/sensory circuits
- provide regular opportunities to overlearn tasks
- have a good understanding of the National Curriculum, in order to be able to move the child’s learning forward
- assess the child’s learning against Individual Support Plan and Education, Health and Care Plan targets.
- support the child to manage his anger by using social stories
- supervise the child to promote positive socialisation at playtimes.
- ability to deliver Lego Therapy would be a bonus.

Post One: Additional: support a smooth transition into school in the mornings and encourage independence.
Post Two: Additional: to support the child in their organisation for getting ready to go home.
