This position includes working weekends on a rota basis and is responsible for:
Cleaning and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in line with the health authority requirements for general cleaning duties, individually, resident’s rooms, public areas,, sluices, bathroom and toilets.

**Duties**

Routine
- to effect undertakes the daily routine cleaning task designated.
- Occasional
- to effectively undertake occasional tasks designated
- e.g. carpet cleaning.
- To report to the matron sister in charge any defects in furniture, fittings, carpets and equipment etc.
- To carry out as instructed any remedial cleaning that may be required in order to maintain the standards of cleaning required by the matron in accordance with the Care Quality Commission
- To effectively participate in staff meeting/training sessions in manual handling and fire lectures.
- To carry out all duties with the health and safety at work codes of practice.
- To ensure all fire doors are kept shut unless instructed otherwise.
- Become familiar with Jasmine Court’s policies and procedures, read sign policy folder, update regularly and follow the health and safety policy.
- To ensure lights are turned off, doors and windows are secure when appropriate.
- Ensure a cleaning programme that determines all areas within the home are fully cleaned i.e. furniture pulled out, skirting boards/plugs/under furniture cleaned on a regular basis.
- Ensure curtains/nets are cleaned when necessary.
- Report in maintenance book any repairs/DIY task are requires attention.
- To wear name badges at all times when at work

Hourly rate of pay depends on age and experience.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: From £9.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

All visitors and staff to have temperature taken prior to entry and wear a face mask
