Sophie is a fun-loving fan of life. She has never let her complex disabilities get in the way of her life and loves days out, Strictly Come Dancing, Manchester United and her kittens (as well as family and friends of course) She is a wheelchair user and lives in Falmouth and we are looking for new recruits to her team, Sophie's Sisters.

No previous experience is necessary as full induction and training are provided. Opportunities to take further relevant courses during your time with the team are also provided.

Applications are also welcome from individuals wanting short term contracts, for example, in a gap year before going travelling. We are very flexible and Sophie loves meeting new people

Shifts are either mornings / evenings or days and rotas are flexible. For day shifts Sophie loves getting out and about, so a driving license is essential. Mornings and evenings are home based. Sophie needs support 24/7 seven days a week, so the ability to work at weekends would be a huge advantage.

Personal care includes help getting up and going to bed and sorting out meals for Sophie; day shifts usually include an afternoon out (Sophie has her own car, so being able to drive is an advantage) - and can involve anything from boat trips to shopping and cliff walks to hot chocolate at the cafe.

Salary £12.00 / hour - £24,960 pro rata per annum based on a 40.00 hours a week including 5.6 weeks' paid holiday per annum plus pension. Getting the right people is our priority, so we are happy to consider people looking for part or full time work for this role.

**Duties**:

- Providing companionship and supportive listening - Soph loves life and wants to live it to the max
- Supporting and assisting with personal care requirements
- Charting or taking notes for colleagues to review
- Observing and reporting any changes in Sophie's health or state of wellbeing
- Administering medication
- Accompanying and transporting Sophie to appointments and/or social events
- Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport
- Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 - 14 per week
