Saw Operator

SAW OPERATOR - BRAINTREE, ESSEX - £11-£13PH

We are looking for a machine operator for an engineering firm in Braintree. You will be based in the company's fabrication shop preparing the metal for the welding department. The main duties of the role will be predominantly working on their saws.

The company weld and engineer different structural steel. The pay will be between £11-13ph and all overtime is paid at 1.5x rate. The role is 40 hours a week Monday to Friday.

Saw Operator duties:

- Operating a band saw and other equipment as required
- Working from technical drawings
- Using hand & power tools when required
- Quality control, ensuring products are cut correctly
- Adhering to the company's health & safety guidelines

You should have experience working with metal, ideally withing a machine or fabrication environment, or have worked with saws or similar machinery.

To be considered you should also have some knowledge or experience working from engineering drawings, so that you are able to read and work from cutting lists.
