Storeperson

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Safe receipt, storage and dispatch of all Finished Goods, Raw materials, packaging, and engineering spares.
- Safely storing and handling of hazardous chemicals within the store’s areas.
- Ensure sundry dispatches are carried out with the correct documentation, adequate palletisation, or packaging and to the required level of urgency.
- Issue and receipt of items of engineering hardware and plant consumables.
- Unloading and loading of vehicles within the stores area, using forklift truck.
- Conducting a rolling stock check program for all products and materials to a standard consistent with business needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of all materials for use on both PTFE and ETFE plants.
- Management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste from point of receipt to final disposal.
- Management of hazardous waste inventory within stores area, in accordance with business procedures and external regulation ISO 14001.
- Accurate and systematic use of the company ERP system (D365) to conduct all stores transactions and waste management.

**Essential skills/qualities**:

- Experience of working in a warehouse within the chemical manufacturing or engineering industry.
- Fluent in the use of MS Office - Excel, Word etc.
- Ability to work unsupervised in a pressured environment.
- Ability to prioritise own workload.
- Excellent numeracy skills.
- Ability to problem solve and maintain a safe working area.
- Calm and approachable character.

**Desirable knowledge/experience**:

- Knowledge of ERP/barcoding warehouse management systems.
- Knowledge of hazardous waste control and legislation.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001 management systems.
- An understanding of COSHH.
