**Head of Maths**

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide strategic direction for the Maths Department, ensuring that teaching and learning is of the highest quality.
- Lead, manage and develop a team of teachers to ensure effective delivery of the Maths curriculum.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department, implementing changes where necessary.
- Ensure that all pupils are making progress and that results are improving year on year.
- Work collaboratively with other Heads of Department to ensure cross-curricular cohesion and consistency.
- Contribute to the wider school community and attend relevant meetings and events.

**Requirements**:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience of leading a successful Maths Department or similar experience.
- Proven track record of improving outcomes for pupils.
- Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues and pupils.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
