We currently have a great opportunity for a Commis Sommelier to be part of a passionate and friendly team in a beautiful 5 Star hotel near Newbury. The Commis Sommelier will have access to an unrivalled selection of wines and will ensure high standards of service in this award-winning property.

Our client is a luxury 5-star hotel on the outskirts of Newbury which has a rich heritage of culinary excellence and classical cookery, delivering high standards of world-class cuisine. The hotel has a 3 AA Rosette restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner service, along with casual dining in the lounge bar and afternoon tea offering.

**The Person**
The ideal Commis Sommelier will have the following:

- Experience as a Commis Sommelier with the desire to work in a 5 star multi rosette environment
- Ideally hold or working towards WSET Level 2 or equivalent
- Be a great communicator with a dynamic and charismatic approach
- Impeccable standards of service with a passion for exceptional wines
- A warm and friendly personality, with a flair for recognising and exceeding guest expectations.
- Dedication, motivation and positivity
- Flexibility to cover shifts as required
- Impeccable standards of personal presentation
- The ability to establish rapport and deliver high standards of service with a genuine and approachable manner whilst demonstrating good wine knowledge
- As the hotel is located on the outskirts of Newbury, having your own reliable means of transport to this area will be essential
