Job description

Chelmsford City Council runs four leisure centres across the city of Chelmsford offering a wide range of sport and leisure activities.

We are looking for an individual with an engaging personality and a natural ability to build strong relationships to join our gym team across our four centres. The successful applicants will deliver the high level of customer service our users expect whilst conducting inductions and assessments and supporting our members to achieve their fitness goals. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and customer care skills with a high level of applicants and must be qualified to a Level 3 diploma in Personal Training. Additional Group Exercise Class qualifications are desirable. Duties will include personal fitness programmes, fitness assessments, retention, delivering group exercise classes as per your qualifications and the day-to-day operations of the gym floor.

The position is offered on a casual basis to cover the opening hours of all of our leisure centres which vary, but are between the hours of 5:45am to 10:00pm (including weekends and bank holidays).
