**Job Title**:Blockyard Operative**Reporting to**: Blockyard Supervisor**Location**:Temple**Job Role**:To support the production of concrete blocks in the Blockyard to Company standards**Key Tasks**: The following reflect the main tasks associated with this position and are not intended to be- exclusive or exhaustive.- To work under the supervison of the yard supervisor producing concrete blocks
- To operate the block mix plant, block production plant, block strapping plant and 8 tonne forklift
- To load lorries when required and issue dispatch documentation
- To carry out regular routine maintenance on all plant and equipment
- To carry out daily inspections and checks in line with Company requirements
- To maintain a clean and tidy workplace
- To comply with all Company H&S procedures
- To provide cover at other depots within the group as required
- To undertake any other duties reasonably requested
- To drive all mobile plant within the quarry when they are not required in the block yard
**Knowledge and Experience**
- Competency and experience of operating a forklift truck is essential
- Previous experience of working in a construction materials manufacturing environment is essential
- Ability to work within a team
