To be the champion of social volunteering by promoting Citizen Coin, Ambassador Programme, People Library and People Can and any other volunteering initiatives committed by Bradford Council; both internally and externally, to increase the number of volunteers, scope and range of initiatives across the district.

To develop a Bradford Council volunteering policy; connecting staff with volunteering opportunities and reporting to the Equalities Plan.

To report and provide regular briefings on outcomes, social value, progress, impacts, benefits and best practice in volunteering in line with programme protocols at various committees, boards and partnerships as appropriate.

**To be ready for this opportunity you need to possess the ability to**:

- Demonstrate an understanding of the objectives, principles and implementation of People Can.
- Oversees or contributes to the management of a budget, keeping costs within agreed levels for own section/team
- Use, interpret, analyse and communicates complex information from a variety of sources.
- Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of partnership working arrangements across the public, private and third sectors and how shared issues and priorities for citizen focused services can be developed and delivered.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, including writing in plain English for a range of formats and effectively communicates and engages with individuals and groups via a range of media.
- Use programme or project management skills, including planning, business analysis, process testing, change implementation, benefits management, risk management and reporting
- Working with multi-disciplinary teams to identify problems, develop solutions and implement change.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a large multi-functional public sector or similar organisation and training or experience in project or programme management.
- An NQF level 4 or equivalent qualification, relevant to the post
