**Hours: 21 per week, with **some evening and occasional weekend work required**

**Salary**:Spine point 31 - 35, **£21,157.20 - £23,571 per annum (**35,262 - 39,285 FTE). Appointments are made at the bottom of the salary scale, but relevant past experience is taken into account in the spinal point awarded.**

Are you a skilled Deaf Support Coordinator passionate about providing support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing? Then why not join City Lit’s Access, Inclusion and Support team to work with students needing assistance to access City Lit courses.

You’ll be a key contributor to the department responsible for the assessment of needs, recommendation of support strategies and advice for staff and students. You will manage a team of Communication Support Workers (CSW) and note-takers, ensuring the quality of in-class support, raising Tutor awareness of inclusive learning strategies and reasonable adjustments by proactively supporting their knowledge and skills.

- An interpreting qualification, CSW qualification, Deaf Studies degree or similar.
- Significant knowledge and professional experience relevant to the role.
- A teaching qualification relevant to adult learning.
- BSL Level 4.
- Significant experience of working with students and staff to deliver support and develop access to education.
- Experience of working in an additional learning support team (assessing students, drawing up Reasonable Adjustments Plans, delivering support, making funding claims).
