**The purpose of this role is to assist the Philanthropy team to identify, develop and maintain relationships with significant individual supporters and prospects and promote the work of Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care to secure significant gifts and long term support of the charity.**

**This means you’ll be responsible for**:

- Supporting with the identification, development and maintenance of relationships with high-net-worth individuals to maximise income from existing and new supporters.
- Working with the Philanthropy Manager to motivate and inspire major donors to raise income.
- Assisting the Philanthropy Manager to deliver the Major Donor strategy by helping to organise a number of major donor events to thank and increase support from this group.
- Maximise opportunities with Trustees, Executive Board and other senior fundraisers to ensure cross developmental sharing of ideas, leads and best practice.
- Assisting with the production of high quality, compelling written materials including mailings, proposals, reports and letters.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date records on donors, potential donors and the contact the charity has with them.
- Supporting the Philanthropy Manager and Head of Philanthropy and Trust Fundraising to successfully deliver the Major Donor programme.
- Develop and assist with organising Major Donor fundraising events in conjunction with the Philanthropy Manager, Head of Philanthropy and Trusts Fundraising and Director of Fundraising.
- Maximise use of our supporter database to allow for targeted supporter communication and activity.
- Monitor and help to deliver income targets for major donor activity.
- Produce financial updates and information for the Philanthropy team and the Director of Fundraising as required.
- Acting as a Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care ambassador, actively demonstrating our values and positively promoting the specialist care we provide.
