Machine Setter

Our client based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire are currently recruiting up to 5 x Machine Setters to join their team on a temporary to permanent contract.

Our client are a global market leader in plastic injection moulded, vinyl dip moulded and metal components. An established FTSE 250 business, working within numerous industries such as automotive, construction, electronics and medical.

Kidlington is our clients largest site in the group where they have 120 injection moulding machines (Boy/ Battenfeld /Arburg/Krauss Maffei & Demag) from 15 tonne up to 100 tonne.

**Job Requirements**
- Accurately set & process tooling in accordance with the production schedule priorities
- Ensure that all jobs are completed on time and to the correct quality standards whilst meeting customer requirements
- Maximising machine utilisation & overall equipment effectiveness
- Responsible for trouble-shooting
- Responding to red-lights
- Offering flexibility to cover operator / packer duties when requested
- Support CI initiatives & 5S programs to drive change and process development across the shop floor

**Required Skills / Experience**:

- Experience of working as an injection moulding setter is essential
- A 'team player' with the ability to work productively and easily with others
- Excellent communicator both at shop floor and management level
- Ability to work well and calmly under pressure
- Flexible and approachable
- IMT qualification an advantage

The team works on a 3-shift pattern rotating weekly between early (06:00-14:00), late (14:00-22:00) and nights (22:00-06:00).

The production facility commences each week with a Sunday night shift and finishes with a Friday late shift.

Pay rate: £36,000 - £40,000 per annum.
