To support a period of business growth we are currently seeking a Junior Buyer to join our procurement team and support the day-to-day purchasing operations.

As a Junior Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our procurement process by handling day-to-day direct and indirect purchasing activities. With guidance from the Procurement Manager, the Junior Buyer will be required to manage multiple queries in a timely and efficient manner. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills and grow within our organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Administrative duties that support the efficient day-to-day operation of the procurement function.
- Sourcing and purchasing of day-to-day direct and indirect requirements.
- Preparation of enquiries, expediting and analysis of responses from suppliers.
- Negotiation of prices and terms to secure the best possible commercial arrangements.
- Maintenance the Purchase Order tracker to ensure visibility of all procurement department purchases.
- Provide suggestions to improve and streamline the function.
- Supplier Management - build and maintain strong relationships with the supply base.
- Cost reduction - work with suppliers to identify cost saving opportunities.
- Delivery performance - monitor supplier delivery performance and report any patterns of poor performing suppliers to the Procurement Manager.

**Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications**:

- Strong administration skills.
- Well organised with the ability to prioritise workloads.
- A keen attention to detail.
- The ability to work to deadlines.
- A confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel.
- Numerate.
- Computer literate.
