Joining as Category Buyer, you’ll become part of a family run business that is one of the UK’s largest providers of workwear solutions and cleanroom consumables. You’ll develop and be responsible for the contracting of the strategic category of raw materials, driving improvements in cost, quality, and availability in order to generate and maximise business unit margin.

**Salary - **Up to** **£39,000pa + Bonus

**Job Type**:Permanent / Full Time / Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

**The Role**

You’ll lead product category and project reviews via **market analysis, tenders, contract negotiations and successful implementation of supplier relationships** as well as administer and monitor purchase orders and contractual arrangements.

You’ll also** **raise and issue purchase orders to suppliers and conduct assessments and reviews of supplier performance against KPIs, identifying opportunities within existing commercial/contractual terms to negotiate and re-contract supplier agreements. Overall - identifying cost saving opportunities.

**Skills We Look for**

Already working towards or a desire to complete a Procurement related qualification.

Experience in undertaking competitive tendering exercises, including the use of Request for Quotation and Request for Proposal documentation.

Use of MRP systems.
