I am working with a fantastic residential school in the London Borough of Redbridge which houses and educates students with educational statements and encourages them to reach their full potential. This school are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join their team of fantastic staff who work together to create a family feel; with their small class sizes and shared mealtimes, you’ll agree that they are exceeding expectations.

**Responsibilities of a Behaviour Mentor**
- Working with individual students to develop their social, emotional and behavioural skills
- Being responsible for the safety of the children, making sure they have a secure but stimulating setting where they can be involved in not only education but also leisure activities
- Counsel the students in personal and social skills, including health, hygiene, domestic protocol and relationships - Behaviour Mentor
- Accompany children to various required visits such as doctors, shopping trips, dentist etc - Behaviour Mentor
- Observe the students and write reports to notify any required information

**The ideal Behaviour Mentor**
- The ideal Behaviour Mentor should be empathetic and nurturing
- Driving is preferred - even if you hold a full license but do not have a vehicle
- Has experience or knowledge surrounding SEMH and can remain calm in challenging situations
- Enjoys sport and doing outdoor activities

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm, Permanent

**Salary**: £85.00-£100.00 per day

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chigwell: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
