**New Mills School** is a small 11-16 secondary school based in the High Peak close to the Peak District National Park, yet within easy reach of the centres of Stockport and Manchester.

The core purpose of the **Second in Humanities **is to provide professional leadership and management for the History curriculum to secure the development of a high quality, knowledge-rich curriculum, improved standards of learning and achievement for all pupils and to do so in the spirit of the school’s vision, culture and strategic direction.
