Assist children with personal care, including changing nappies, assisting with toilet training and other associated welfare duties working alongside parents.
- Participate in the key worker system and be responsible for a group of children. Monitor, assess, record and report on their development and progress.
- Ensure your key children’s files are kept up to date with planning for their individual needs, observations, photographic evidence.
- Follow the Realising The Ambition framework and Curriculum For Excellence for guidance in your practice with the children, and planning planned learning experiences.
- Organise planned learning experiences for both indoors and outdoors to provide a broad and balanced learning environment. These learning experience should encourage creativity, co-ordination, independence, self-expression and learning through play.
- Ensure smooth running of your playroom and that all your staff are working their job description.
- Be involved with showing round potential new children and parents around the Nursery.
- Help new children and parents settle into the Nursery by regular feedback about progress.
- Organise room planning meetings when required.
- Be aware of child protection issues and follow the Nursery’s Safeguarding Children policy and procedures. Ensure close monitoring of children about whom there are concerns.
- To report any signs of illness, neglect or apparently non accidental injury directly to the management team.
- Key-holder responsibility
- Ensure that each child is collected in accordance with the collection procedure.
- Be familiar with the policies and procedures of Tannoch Tots Nursery, adhering to them at all times.
- To report and record all accidents, incidents.
- Participate in staff meetings, training nights, parents meeting, committee meetings, open days and staff team building activities when required.
- Update individual child’s care plans six monthly with the parent and discuss at parents meetings.
- To liaise with colleagues when finishing a shift, advising them of any information that is to be relayed to parents when the child is collected from Nursery.

**Salary**: £20,800.00-£22,880.00 per year
