**How you'll make a difference**:

As a Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Support Assistant you will make a difference by providing outstanding administrative support to the service, which means you will have a real opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of individuals who may not have a voice.

**What will you be doing?**
- You will be providing a first line service to a range of practitioners, advocates, service users and their representatives who support adults who lack the mental capacity to make certain decisions for themselves.
This could include adults who:

- Have additional support needs
- Experience mental health issues
- Have a brain injury
- Have dementia
- Using your planning and organisation skills you will work flexibly to undertake a number of different administrative activities, including processing and delivering statutory paperwork, writing letters and collating and managing data to a high degree of accuracy.
- You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to respond to queries from a wide range of people and organisations.
- You will be a good team player with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues to co-ordinate and prioritise tasks.

**What we need from you**:

- Ideally you will have an NVQ2 or equivalent or previous relevant experience of working in a similar environment or within a similar role.
- You will hold a minimum qualification of 3 grade C’s at GCSE (or equivalent) including English and Maths or relevant experience to an equivalent level.
- You will have good IT skills including knowledge of standard software packages and ability to be trained on bespoke software and databases.
- You will enjoy working efficiently, have high standards of accuracy and be able to multi task and manage conflicting priorities.
- You will have good verbal and written communication skills to provide a high level of customer service.
