**Head of Finance - Fallowfield**

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join our client in the Fallowfield area.

**Location and Hours**:
This role is based in Fallowfield and is a Mon-Fri role (37.5 Hours). The working hours for this role are flexible and also has a hybrid option, where you are able to work from home for 2 days a week.

**Head of Finance Salary**:
The salary for this Head of Finance role is £72,000 per annum

**As a Head of Finance you will be responsible for**:

- Oversee the Finance Team, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and reliability of financial information.
- Develop and maintain appropriate policies, controls, and processes to secure financial stability.
- Develop a customer care culture within the team and review and improve finance policies.
- Lead the development and implementation of Value for Money strategy and prepare the VfM section in the Annual Report.
- Develop and refine all financial models/scenarios and understand financial drivers to maximize resource use.
- Ensure accounting systems are fit to support the ten-year business plan and lead the continuous improvement of those systems.
- Recruit, lead, motivate, and coach direct reports to establish finance function as a facilitator to the business.
- Assure completeness, accuracy, and reliability of forecasting financial information and report to Finance Director.
- Support the Finance Director with ad hoc duties.

**What our client is looking for in a Head of Finance**:

- Required Qualification: ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification
- Extensive finance experience with a strong emphasis on accuracy and integrity
- Proven experience in staff management, including appraisal, motivation, and developing team members
- Thorough knowledge of financial and business planning theories, frameworks & tools, particularly Unit 4.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior teams and the finance community, and confidence to challenge others including senior management
- Ability to prioritize and work with competing deadlines
- Highly adaptable and responsive to change
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
- Effective project management skills with good time management
- Innovative and creative, open to new working methods
- Calm and confident in high-pressure environments
- Commercial background
