Decontamination Engineer

Decontamination Engineer - NHS Estates - Shifts. £33,000 to £35,000 plus shift allowance of £3,432.

Please call for shift rota but briefly the 1st and 2nd week are all days. The 3rd and 4th week is where it changes, and you will work 1 weekend in 4. Earliest start is 7:30am and latest finish is 10pm.
- After suitable training and guidance diagnose faults, repair and maintain complex equipment in accordance with Health Technical Memorandum (HTM's) and other specialised hospital equipment.
- Carry out the work of other trades where there is an interface to the work in hand with a level of competence that's outside core trade.
- To carry out weekly Process Control Testing and Maintenance of all decontamination Plant including Breakdowns, fault finding, servicing and repairing along with CAF and audit trail paper work.
- To work on the following types of machine including the services that support them.- Sterilizers
- Washer disinfectors
- AER's (automated endoscope reprocesses)
- Reverse osmosis plants
- Ultrasonic cleaners
- Little sister machines
- Scope sterile hanging cabinets
- Pathology LTE machines
- Steam, air, water, drainage, electrics, etc
- To work to the requirements detailed in HTM 2010, HTM 2030 & CFPP for testing of decontamination plant.
