The engineering team is focused on the energy industries with current projects supporting the design and build of offshore windfarm substations and brownfield projects for Oil and Gas operators.

As a Senior E&I Designer with Semco you will develop electrical & instrumentation design engineering packages complying with recognised industry standards, company practices, policies and procedures. You will create and check technical output drawings, project documentation and procedures. Some offshore and site time is possible to carry out surveys.

You can expect to work on a wide variety of projects with a varied and interesting workload; every day will provide you with a different challenge.

**Key Accountabilities**

The role requires that you ensure good management of projects. With delivery on time, on budget maintaining a high quality and executed safely according HSE&Q policies. The key accountabilities are:

- Ensure that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and Procedures.
- Provide technical expertise to produce design deliverables supporting modifications to existing equipment or purchasing new equipment.
- Provide technical design expertise to the resolution of technical queries ensuring that all design changes are captured by change control processes
- Checking and approval of discipline documents
- Ensure, as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule.
- Safety has a high priority, and you work proactively to reduce risks and irregularities to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Design and execution of both single and multi-discipline projects
- Ensure highest levels of customer service delivery at all times
- Take ownership of technical queries to ensure resolution to the satisfaction of the Project Manager
- The ability to think outside of the box to go beyond the conventional with a willingness to try out different solutions.
- Actively work with management and others to look for opportunities to improve the Company’s best practices.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Experience working in an engineering environment, ideally in the energy sector
- Experience with other design drawing packages preferred but not essential
- Fluent in English
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
