**Responsibilities**

As Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Advisor, you will be working within the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality team, assisting in the management and promotion of health, safety, environment and well-being.

Your day to day will include:

- Developing, driving and championing safety, health and environment campaigns across Suffolk
- Ensuring full implementation and compliance of the SHEMS (Safety, Health, and Environmental Management system) and supporting staff across the service to utilise the system, providing training when necessary
- Liaising with the General Manager and operational management team on all occupational health assessments ensuring required adjustments have been made
- Undertaking site, depot and office health and safety inspections
- Collaborating with the Kier occupational health team, providing health & wellbeing support for Kier employees across the contract

**Who are we looking for?**

This role of SHE Advisor is great for you if you can:

- Provide a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety
- Demonstrate a detailed understanding and working knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and codes of practice
- Comprehend and interpret policies, procedures and relevant legislation and effectively communicate to a range of stakeholders
