Hello We are looking for a Parts Dept Apprentice or Trainee to join our Parts Manager in our busy Department.

If you have an interest in a future career in a Parts Department then this may be for you.

We have onsite parking and have good public transport links in our location and we will provide all training required for the job. The working hours are 8 hour days, either 8am-5pm or 8.30am-5.30pm currently, with 1 in 2 Saturday mornings (although we're not opening Saturdays at the moment).

This is the job description for the role that you would eventually train into:
Job title: Parts Advisor

Reports to: Parts Manager

Duties include:

To receive customer enquiries and determine the customer’s needs, encouraging both the purchase of parts and fitment by the Service Department

*
To maintain an accurate and efficient schedule of parts availability and associated flow of paperwork, consistent with departmental procedures, in particular the administration of payment systems

*
To price-up parts required for vehicle repairs and work identified from vehicle health checks.

*
To pre-pick all workshop parts prior to the customers’ appointment and inform the Service Department if the part is not available for the booking and offer the date the part will come into stock

*
To ensure all customers are handled with “Family-like Care”

*
To ensure a safe working environment for employees by complying with statutory legislation and the Government’s Health and Safety policy. To report immediately any non-conformance to the appropriate Senior Manager

*
To adhere to agreed staff development plans and undertaking manufacturer training and eLearning modules to achieve required certification levels

*
To handle all customers in a professional and friendly manner in accordance with manufacturer and company customer satisfaction policies

*
To manage warranty return parts in accordance with the manufacturer’s guideline

*
Any other reasonable duties required to ensure the smooth running of the department and wider business.

**Detailed Responsibilities**

To have sufficient current product knowledge to enable accurate information to be given to all customers

*
To ensure security of all parts and consumables by maintaining stock levels and ensuring all stock is given a location

*
To take the responsibility for the meeting of required Operational Standards set by the manufacturers

*
To keep stock levels according to requirements with full inventory checks carried out at least twice yearly

*
To have a thorough understanding of manufacturer parts systems and processes

*
To continually improve technical expertise by personally keeping up-to-date on technical changes and developments, and passing this information on through training and coaching

To assist the Aftersales Manager in related and non-related tasks to ensure the smooth running of the aftersales departments

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: £16,510.11-£21,000.00 per year
