This is an exciting opportunity to work for Great Eccleston District Nurses as a Neighbourhood Assistant/Admin in the community.

Our team is made up of District Nurses and Health Care Assistants whilst also work closely with the GP's and other community teams.

‘Engage patients to improve their abilities, knowledge, skills and confidence working towards the better management and improvement of their health conditions and therefore their well being’

The post holder will support the integrated community neighbourhood teams carrying out agreed clinical and administrative responsibilities. You will be working with patients with a variety of physical conditions in their own home and community.

When working alone in the community you will be required to have initiative, excellent communication skills, time management and will always have the person’s best interests at heart when delivering patient centred care.

We can offer you support and training to enable you to develop.
A car driver with use of a vehicle is essential.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients.

The post holder will work in the Community setting supporting the clinicians within District Nurse Team, carrying out agreed tasks. The duties will be both nursing, and aiming to provide appropriate support within an integrating wider team. The post holder will accept the responsibility for doing a quality job, aspire to achieve, share a corporate pride in achievements and strive to act as an ambassador for good quality.
