Stock Controller/administrator

Tonge Bridge Timber Sales (U.K.) Ltd are the North of England’s premier manufacturer and distributor of machined timber products to merchants and manufacturers.
We are looking for an experienced Stock Controller / Administrator with timber or construction experience to join a highly successful family run business.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Maintain availability level targets as determined by the company.
Conduct regular stock checks.
Chase and action accordingly overdue orders with approved suppliers and confirm delivery dates.
Action and confirm supplier invoices i.e., pricing, shortages.
Support warehouse operations for high demand periods, where applicable
Communicate with management any outstanding issues where appropriate
Other ad-hoc duties where necessary
**Reports To**:
General Manager
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
Stock control management within the timber or construction industry would be an advantage but not essential.
IT literacy including Microsoft Office knowledge and Excel to a good standard
Good analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Efficient organisational and time management skills
Identify and execute opportunities for continuous improvement
Excellent levels of communication
Works well in a team environment and equally well on own
**Hours of work**
40 hours per week to be worked between the hours of 7.30 am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
