**Assistant Teacher (Behaviour Support)**

Masterclass Education are working closely with a Barnsley School who provide pupils with opportunities to achieve and celebrate their progress. They support, challenge and motivate their pupils to succeed. We are looking to appoint an experienced SEMH/SEND Teaching Assistant to work within the inclusion room of the school. We need someone with a passion for working with children who have SEND/SEMH needs, and someone with experience.

**The Role of a Primary SEMH Teaching Assistant**:
We are looking for someone who:

- Is a dedicated, enthusiastic professional
- Has a passion for learning
- Has excellent communication skills
- Has experience supporting children with SEMH/ SEND on a 1:1 basis
- Has experience of supporting mild to severe SEND including but not limited to: Autism, ADHD, Challenging Behaviour or Speech and Language difficulties
- Is passionate about inclusive education
- Is willing to learn and to be trained further in this role
- Working hours from **8:30 am - 3:30 pm**

**Availability**:

- Monday - Friday (Full Time)
- Must be available between 8.30 and 3.30
- Term Time only

**Must have**:

- Ability to work well independently and as a team
- Has a passion to support and empower children and young people
- Positive, can-do attitude
- A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
