**Machine Operator**

Machine operators are required for a well-established family run business, situated north of Norwich. We are a fencing and pallet timber processing company and have been operating for 40 years. This position is ideal for someone looking to start and progress in the timber industry and who can retain a good level of product knowledge, whilst working in a safe and efficient manner.

No previous experience is necessary as full on the job training will be provided.

Some responsibilities of a machine operator include:

- Manual handling of timber
- Operating sawmilling machinery
- Working towards production targets
- Upholding the appropriate health and safety practices at all times
- Fit and active
- Honest, reliable, trustworthy and have good work ethics
- Conscientious
- Self-driven
- Willing to learn new skills
- Good communication skills
- Able to work in a team and alone

Starting Rate of Pay: £11.70 per hour (includes a £0.50p per hour attendance bonus).

Hours: 47.5 per week, Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm, plus overtime available

Holiday: 28 days per year (including Bank Holidays and 10 days annual Christmas shutdown)

Position to start immediately.

There will be a two part interview process for the role (telephone and site interviews).
