**Administrator - FT Permanent position paying circa £25,000pa - Office based only.**

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

In this role you will be the anchor in a very busy office department. The client specialises within the Engineering sector and has been doing so successfully for over 20 years, working alongside some of the biggest Mechanical and Electrical contractors across London and Home counties to date

This is a fantastic role for someone with excellent organisation skills, a confident personality and a desire to do a good job, with scope to improve systems and processes in the future. They are a small, friendly and relaxed team who are looking for someone with good grammar and a can-do attitude.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- Typing of quotations, letters, risk assessments & method statements, including sample reports
- Ensuring the filing systems are maintained & updated on a regular basis
- Updating existing record sheets and answering any queries regarding these
- Liasing with Engineering teams to ensure the task or paperwork is completed
- Entering document identification codes into systems in order to determine locations of documents to be retrieved
- Find & retrieve information from files in response to requests from authorised users
- Perform periodic inspections of materials or files in order to ensure correct placement, legibility & proper condition
- Read incoming materials in order to determine how & where they should be filed
- Sorting or classifying information according to guidelines such as content, purpose, user criteria, or chronological, alphabetical, or numerical order
- Answering the telephone, sometimes speaking with customers and liasing with the engineers
- Uniform orders where necessary

**Skills, Knowledge & Experience**:

- Required **administrative experience within Engineering, preferably HVAC (Air conditioning or Refrigeration) or Commissioning would be ideal but not necessary
- GCSE grade C or above preferred
- Previous experience in an administrative role (2+ years)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Close to Iver Heath (SL1 postcode area) - 5 miles or less preferable
- Driving license

The salary for this position is circa £25k per annum (negotiable depending on exp)
