The Role*
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic monitoring team undertaking field-based sampling and surveying of surface water environments across the UK. The successful applicant will be central in diligent data collection to recognised industry standards in aquatic habitats that include rivers, estuaries, and wetlands. You will be supporting our senior team in the collection of baseline data essential for evidence based environmental management by the construction, infrastructure and water industry. The fieldwork will include, but not limited to, surveys of biological communities (fish, macroinvertebrates, macrophytes), physical characteristics (habitat assessment, river flow and levels) and chemical quality (water quality sampling).

Multiple roles are available to be based at our new Head Office at Thruxton Airfield, Hampshire. There is a requirement for travel across the UK for delivery of our programme as and when required by the business.

Responsibilities*
- Supporting with field work planning and logistics
- Supporting with field based data collection
- Supporting data entry and management
- Supporting with equipment maintenance and calibration
- Biosecurity of equipment and PPE.

You will enjoy working outdoors in all weathers and have an interest in environmental management, protection, and enhancement. You will be organised, highly motivated, be an excellent communicator and have the ability to work as part of a team. As a team player you will enjoy building positive relationships with co-workers and offering solutions to challenges for achievement of our common goal. As a keen listener with the ability to follow instruction you will have an eye for detail and pride yourself on the diligent delivery of your role to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of the data you collect. Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience will be a core attribute that will ensure you can adapt to a highly dynamic schedule of monitoring working across the UK. You will have the ability to swim, hold a clean driving license and will work away from home in delivery of our programme.
